St Crispin's Daily Prayer

morning coffee.jpeg

We join with the angels, archangels and all the company of heaven when we pray and worship the Living God.

It doesn’t matter if we are tired, happy, depressed or buzzing.  Jesus our Great High Priest always represents us with the right feelings and attitude.

OUR FATHER

Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven.

Give us today our daily bread.

Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us.

Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from the evil one.

For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours, now and for ever.

Amen.

the truth: APOSTLE'S CREED

I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; He descended to Hell. On the third day He rose again; He ascended into heaven, He is seated at the right hand of the Father, and He will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.

Amen.

YOU ARE GOD: TE DEUM

You are God: we praise you; You are the Lord: we bow before you. You are the eternal Father: All creation worships you.

To you all angels, and all the powers of heaven, Cherubim and Seraphim, sing in endless praise: Holy, holy, holy, Lord, God of power and might, heaven and earth are full of your glory.

The glorious company of apostles praise you. The noble fellowship of prophets praise you. The white-robed army of martyrs praise you.

Throughout the world the holy Church praises you:

Father, of majesty unbounded, your true and only Son, worthy of all worship, and the Holy Spirit, Comforter and guide.

You, Christ, are the king of glory, the eternal Son of the Father. When you became human to set us free you did not reject the Virgin’s womb. You overcame the sting of death, and opened the kingdom of heaven to all believers. You are seated at God’s right hand in glory.

We believe that you will come, and be our judge. Come then, Lord, and help your people, bought with the price of your own blood, and bring us with your saints to glory everlasting.

Save your people, Lord, and bless your inheritance. Govern and uphold them now and always.

Day by day we bless you. We praise your name for ever.

Keep us today, Lord, from all sin. Have mercy on us, Lord, have mercy. Lord, show us your love and mercy; for we put our trust in you. In you, Lord, is our hope: and our hope in you will never be disappointed.

DAILY PSALMS

EVERYDAY REMEMBER:

There is always help through Jesus:

Jesus is the Eternal Son of the Father - He connects us to God

Jesus is the Man full of life - He can give us the life we need

Jesus died and was raised to life so there is always a way out of our mess

Jesus reigns at the Father’s right hand - He is in control

Jesus will return to fix everything - The future is full of joy

Life makes sense when Jesus is at the centre of everything.  We look up to heaven in worship; we look in to share life together in the church family and we look out to the world to show the life of Jesus.
